PLAZA
“LUCKY STAR” Janet Gay nor and Charles Farrell, the famous screeft combination which achieved such an outstanding success in “Seventh Heaven.” have the main parts in “Lucky Star,” their first talkie, which is now being shown at the Plaza Theatre. The plot is an appealing one of a little country girl’s devotion for a soldier, the vicissitudes and adventures they undergo on their way to happiness forming interesting entertainment. The first half of the Entertainment is also most enjoyable. It includes a number of bright talking and singing featurettes, such as a Paramount Sound News, a talkie coniedy-sketch, “The Royal Pair,” by the Rooney family, selections, “In An Arabian Night Club,” by Cherniavskv’s famous jazz band, and another talkie comedy, “The Treasurer’s Report.”
