GOOD ACRE WINS TRIAL FINE WEATHER MEETING Press Association PAHIATUA. Today. The Pahiatua Racing Club’s annual meeting was concluded at Pahiatua todav in fine weather before a large crowd. The track was in excellent order. Results: —• TRIAL PLATE Of £100; 6 furlongs 2—GOOD ACRE J I—MIRABILARY .. if 6—SILVER FERN * All started. Won by half a length, with a similar distance between second and third. Time, 1.23. Good Acre was second favourite and won the Trial Plate easily. Right Bower led to the straight from Good Acre who then took command and withstood a challenge by Mirabilary and won by a length and a-ha,lf. Silver Fern was the same distance away third and Myola was fourth. PONGAROA HiGH-W EIGHT HANDICAP Of £130; 7 furlongs. Llyn Du was in charge fromr Patearoa when the field settled down, but crossing the top Royal Opera was in charge from Llyn Du, Grattus and Grecian, and in a great finish Royal Opera beat Grecian by a head, with General Gas three lengths away third and Disrank fourth.
