' TWO MAIDS IN BLUSH PINK JACKSON—THOMPSON A pretty wedding took place on Saturday afternoon at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Devonport, when Jeanette Caraline, daughter of Mrs. H. 1 hompson and the late Mr. Thompson, of Papeete. The full, flared skirt fell in graceful folds to the ankles at the back, being finished at tlje waist with a large french bow lined with wild rose pink satin held in place with a cluster of orange blossom. A beautifully embroidered veil of silk net was also arranged with clusters of orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouI quet of roses, dahlias and maidenhair j fern. Attending the bride were Miss Aimee j Whaley, and Miss Myrtle Hitchens. : who were both frocked in pale blush 1 pink georgette, with frilled skirts. They ! wore headdresses of pink rosebuds i and gold leaves, and carried bouquets i of pink flowers. The little flower girl. Dorothy Hitchens. was in a delightful frock of eggshell blue crepe de chine, with a dainty frilled skirt. She was carrying a silver basket decorated with pastel-tin ted pink and blue flowers. Mr. Birt Whaley attended the bridegroom as best man, Mr. Frank Whaley acting as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at “Arnclilfe,” the home of the bridegroom’s parents, the tables being I attractively arranged in tones of pink and white.
