“THE LADY LIES"
AT STRAND ON SATURDAY Claudette Colbert, "Walter Huston and Charles Ruggles play the leadingroles in the Paramount all-talking production, “The Lady Lies,” which comes to the Strand Theatre for a season beginning on Saturday next. Each has gained enviable fame in successful stage plays and musical comedies on Broadway. All have had previous film experience—Huston was the leading man in Paramount’s “Gentlemen of the Press,” and a number of short features; Miss Colbert in “Love o’ Mike” and “The Hole in the Wall.” and Buggies in “Gentlemen of the Press,” in which he furnished the comedy as the inebriated reporter who never seemed to know which paper he was working for. “The Lady Lies” is the story of a successful lawyer who is a widower, and who, to the disappointment of his two young children, falls in love with a woman who is not, in the opinion of his relatives, of an equal social standing with him.
