LOYAL FRANKLIN LODGE

VISIT FROM DISTRICT OFFICERS The Loyal Franklin Lodge. M.LL, 1.0.0. F., Otahuhu, was visited by the district officers at its last fortnightly meeting, held in the lodge rooms, lvingsford. Hall. There was a large attendance of members, and representatives were present from the Loyal Papatoetoe and St. Heliers Lodges. Among the district officers present were: Bro. F. Best, District Grand Master; Bro. W. Pitcher, Deputy-Dis-trict Grand Master; Bro. John McLeod, P.G.M. and district secretary; Bro. John Clark, P.G.M. and district treasurer; Bro. W. McMillan, P.D.G.M.; Bro. F. C. Perry, P.D.G.M.; Bro. J. A. Gray, P.G.; and Bro. F. Hard, P.G. During the evening, .the district officers were welcomed by Bro. D. Bremnei\ N.G., after which interesting addresses on Oddfellowship were delivered by Bro. Best, D.G.M.; Bro. Pitcher, D.D.G.M.; Bro. J. McLeod, P.G.M.: and Bro. J. Clark.. P.G.M. At the conclusion of the addresses, Bro. J. Clark. P.G.M., presented Sister V. Douglas. P.G., with a framed past grand emblem. The recipient suitably replied. At the conclusion of the business an enjoyable dance was held. The music was supplied by Sister Riddell, Bros. Halstead and R. Allanson. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Bro. A. Fearnley.

A new series of postage stamps, on which all the indications are in Latin characters, is being issued by the Turkish. Government.
