CHAMPIONSHIPS AT STANLEY STREET CLOSELY CONTESTED GAMES Tennis enthusiasts witnessed a further round of the Auckland Tennis Association’s C grade championship at the Stanley Street courts today. In spite of yesterday’s heavy rain, a warm sun effectually dried the courts, which were taxed to their fullest capacity. Keen enthusiasm was shown by the competitors in all sections, and their play reflected credit upon the committees of the tournament. Some closely contested games were to be seen in the men’s singles.
