SAND-DRIFT MENACE
CABINET MAY TAKE ACTION Special to THE SUN HELENS VILLE, Tuesday. The prevention of sand-drift in the Helensville and Woodhill districts was urged by a deputation representing the KLaipara Drainage Board, the Waitemata County Council and the Motutara Domain Board which waited on the Commissioner of State Forests, the Hon. W. B. Taverner, at Helensville yesterday. The Minister stated that the work was not really one for the Forestry Department, but if the improvement of conditions was to be undertaken his department was prepared to tackle the scheme. He assured the deputation he W’-Juld confer with Cabinet to ascertain if any action could be taken to meet the situation.
