BLOW TO LABOUR
RAILWAYMEN SECEDE FROM COUNCIL COAL STRIKE DEVELOPMENT United r.A. —By Telegrayh—Copyright Reed. 11.45 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. The Federated Enginedrivers’ and Firemen’s Association has decided to withdraw from the Labour Council of New South Wales. This is regarded as a most important development concerning the coal dispute and a decided blow at the faction led by Mr. Jock Garden, secretary of the Labour Council. Equally significant was a resolution carried expressing gratification at the efforts of the Prime Minister. Mr. J. H. Scullin, to settle the problem.
