BRISBANE PARTY CUT OFF BY TIDE FATHER AND SON DISAPPEAR Reed. 11.30 a.m. BRISBANE, Today. While fishing on a sand spit at Mackay, three men were cut off by the rising tide. Two of them, Mr. Simpson and his son, were drowned. The other man was rescued by fishermen. The Simpsons attempted to swim ashore, and disappeared.
