STATE PARLIAMENTS
LABOUR CONFERENCE CALLS FOR ABOLITION Reed. Noon. SYDNEY, Today. Resolutions advocating the abolition of the State Parliaments and the transfer of the major powers to the Commonwealth were carried at the country provincial conference of the Australian Labour Party at Tamworth. Mr. J. T. Lang, Leader of the Opposition, insisted that the Federal Government must give effect to the full platform of the party, including the abolition of the Senate.
