SWIMMING CARNIVAL

PONSONBY-GRAMMAR FIXTURE Permission has been obtained for the Ponsonby-Grammar Clubs to hold their combined carnival on February 5. when the 440yds championship of Auckland will be decided. A tug-of-war in the water will be introduced for the first time in Auckland and will be entered as a championship event to be contested by the various clubs. The Laidlaw Cup and Boatwright Trophy will be contested, and a 100yds race for women and a 100yds men’s race will be held.
