“CHINATOWN CHARLIE” AT LYRIC
“See New York’s Chinatown, the Bowery! Visit the Ghetto and LowerEast Side!” cries the uniformed tourist agent, in front of his sight-seeing bus in New York’s Times Square. And that is also what Johnny Hines is shouting in his latest picture. “Chinatown Charlie,” which is at the Lyric Theatre, and Johnny promises to give you a hilarious trip to Chinatown in the fast action of his comedy. Louise plays the leading feminine role, and a cast of comedians appear in support of the star. “Stairs of Sand,” the second attraction, is a powerful drama starring the outstanding actor, Wallace Beery, with Jean Arthur.
