COST OF WAR GRAVES
NEW ZEALAND GIVES £13,556 LONDON, Wednesday. The tenth annual report of the War Graves Commission shows that up to March 31, 1929, 874 cemeteries had been completed in France, and 1,086 in Belgium. In communal cemeteries and churchyards containing war graves. £35,596 headstones had been erected. Steps Lad been taken to obtain land opposite the Jerusalem cemetery for a memorial park, on behalf of the Australian Government. , Last year Australia contributed i- 41,857 and New Zealand £13,556 out of a total cash payment of £661,253.
