Sir James CJunson left for Wollington last evening. Mr. A. Harris, M.P.. left by train for the South last evening. The Hon. E. W. Alison. M.L.C.. arrived by the Limited express today. Dr. E. H. B. Milaom returned to Auckland by the express this morning. Sir George Fowlds returned from Wellington by the Limited yesterday jnorning. W. J. Jordan, M.P. for Manukau, left by train for Arapuni this morning. Mr. C. M. Croft, Canadian Trade Commissioner, returned from Wellington 3'esferday morning. Mr. O. Finn, president of the Auckland Manufacturers’ Association, returned from the South yesterday morning. Mr. E. H. W. Kenny, manager of the Bank of New South Wales at Ruatoria, Poverty Lay, is visiting Auckland. The Rev. H. Van Staveren, the veteran Rabbi of the Jewish community in Wellington, will be 81 years of B ge on Saturday. Lieutenant-Colonel J. L. Frazerhurst, assistant-director of medical services, and Major C. A. Gibbs, arrived by the Limited today. Mr. James D. Jacobs, managing director of the Atlantic Union Oil Company. Limited, for Australia and New Zealand, arrived in Auckland this morning and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. A. F. Grimble, Resident Commissioner for the Gilbert and Ellis Islands, ■was made a C.M.G. in the New Year Honours List. He passed through Auckland recently on his way back to the islands.
