OFFER TO START TALKIES From Our Oxen Correspondent An offer to convert the Town Hall into a talkie theatre at a cost of not less than £SOO was received by the Hamilton Borough Council last evening from Mr. Syd Tombs, late manager of Hamilton Theatres, Ltd. The offer was referred to a special committee with power to act. Mr. Ferg Mason has been appointed manager of Hamilton Theatres to succeed Mr. Tombs.
