FOUND BY NEIGHBOUR
DEAD MAN ON KITCHEN FLOOR ALONE IN HOUSE Attracted by a smell of gas, to a house at Number 11 Atarangi Road, a neighbour found the occupier, George Walmsley, dead on the kitchen floor. An inquest was opened before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., coroner, this morning. Thomas James William Frederick Gurson Angove, a brother-in-law of deceased, living at Huntly, identified the body. Witness had last seen Mr. Walmsley alive in September, 1929. He was aged about 45 and worked at the municipal abattoir, though, suffering from a gastric stomach, he was often away from work. When witness last saw him, Walmsley had said that he feared lie was suffering from cancer. If that was so he would go mad. He was living by himself as his wife and four children had gone for a holiday to Opotiki. According to the police report, the body had been found yesterday afternoon by Francis Henry Cowan, a neighbour, who had notified the police. The inquest was adjourned sine die,
