TO SAIL IN ANNIVERSARY DAY REGATTA OWNER’S “FINAL FLUTTER” Special to THE SL'S CIIRISTC \ IURCH. Toda> . For the last time under the ownership of the famous racing helmsman. George Andrews, the crack 14-footer Betty will compete against her old rivals in the Anniversary Day regatta at Auckland next Wednesday. "It will be the final flutter,” Mr. Andrew’s said today, ‘for I have decided to sell her afterward.” Betty was shipped North .today. Blnwill sail in the Jellicoe class races in the regatta at Wellington on Saturday and afterward will be railed to Auckland, so that although she is not to take part in the Sanders Cup contest, visiting yachtsmen will have an opportunity of seeing her in action once more in the Anniversary Day regatta. The trip is being made at the expense of Mr. Andrews and the crew, partly, he says, to compensate the crew for its disappointment over the Sanders Cup contest. Colleen. Canterbury's challenger for the cup, is to be shipped to Auckland tonight. The owner, Mr. F. Dobby. and the skipper. Mr. F. Collins, will acompany the boat.
