RACING ON CINDERS
ELANPFORD PARK STADIUM An attractive programme of cindertrack racing events has been arranged by the management of the Blandford Park Stadium for this evening, when Charlie Perabo, of Australia, will make his first appearance in . Auckland. Perabo will be opposed by the local riders and he will find plenty of opposition as the Aucklanders have shown steady improvement since the opening of the stadium. Special interest will to the contest over four laps from a rolling start between the Australian and Cyril Walker, holder of the gold helmet and track record, who is considered to be one of the best riders Auckland has produced. Tn addition, Walker will defend his helmet and championship aga.inst eight other riders in the main event of the evening. Other races will be in the speedway handicap of four laps, and attempts will be made on the lap record by Perabo, Charlie Goldberg and Alby Lemon. This is the finest programme that has yet been arranged by the stadium authorities and, in view of past performances, the racing should be spectacular-
