INFORMAL RECEPTION AT CAPETOWN OCCUPIED BY RACES AND GOLF Reed. 11 a.m. CAPETOWN, .Monday. The liner Kenilworth, which was buffeted by a violent south-easter, arrived at daybreak with the Prince of Wales aboard. The Governor, the Earl of Athlone, the Administrator, the Hon. A. P. J. Fourie, and the Mayor arrived at nine o’clock and gave his Royal Highness an informal welcome. The Prince inspected the guard and then drove to the war memorial at the foot of Adderley Street, after which he drove slowly past a parade of hundreds of ex-service men to Government House. There will be no official functions during his week’s stay. The Prince will play golf, squash racquets and attend the races on Saturday. He will climb Table Mountain, and there will be an Informal dinner and dance tomorrow. The Prince is looking exceptionally well. He walked the deck vigorously on the journey.
