BRIDE-TO-BE IS GUEST OF HONOUR AT MANY PARTIES
JOLLY KITCHEN EVENING FOR MISS RONA DALE A most enjoyable ‘‘kitchen afternoon” was given at the Tiri Tennis Club, Devonport, on Saturday, by Mrs. J. Baxter and Mrs. Pacy, for Miss Rona Dale, whose marriage to Mr. Carl D’Authreau takes place this week. The health of Miss Dale, who has been the club champion for some years, was proposed by Mrs. J. W. Baxter, president. Tennis was enjoyed by the guests during- the afternoon. An amusing competition of guessing the articles brought was won by Miss Fanny Fitchett. Among those present were:—Mrs. "W. D’Authreau, Mrs. Burden, Mrs. Grazelier, Mrs. IX Bailey, Misses Essie Dale, Doreen D’Authreau, Peggy Redmond, Eileen Redmond (Whangarei), Bell D’Authreau, Fanny Fitchett, Ngaia Hues, Eileen Clewer. Noel Wynyard, Pat Wynyarcl, Doreen Ryan, Beattie Bruce, Moya Jones, Doreen O’Connor, and Kathleen Oliver.
