Star of “THE VIRGINIAN,” the big outdoor talkie coming to the NEW REGENT THEATRE on THURSDAY. His name is Gary Cooper, and he is probably the best screen type that could be found anywhere in the rank of film actors for the part of the lean, lanky cow-puncher hero of this famous play from the novel of the same name. Cooper talks with a alow, mellow drawl in the picture. His mannerisms are those of the rangerider. His acting is real and convincing. He actually lived as a rangerider before he went to Hollywood to gain renown in pictures.
