Final arrangements were completed for the Te Puke autumn show on February 8 at a meeting of the committee on Saturday evening. The chairman, Mr. W. J. Law, said that, with the exception of the Ayrshire classes, judges had been appointed as follow:—Milking Shorthorns: Mr. G. D. Hall, Kio Kio; Jerseys: E. McLennan, Papakura; pigs: S. Knight, Ongarue; light horses: H. Windsor, Cambridge; draughts: L. Sisam, Whakatane. Applications for space on the grounds were received and allocated, and trucking and assistant stewards were appointed. Several farmers offered free paddocking and fe€‘d for stock arriving for exhibition the night before the show. Messrs. Law, Snodgrass and Ryburn donated a sheep, beast and pig for the guessing competitions. Messrs. A. Waldron and A. L. Wifrose were elected members of the association.
