BOARD’S OFFER CLARIFIED An assurance that the Auckland Institute and Museum was not under a misapprehension. regarding the illumination of the War Memorial Museum was sent by the president, Mr. H. E. Vaile, yesterday afternoon to the Auckland Electric-Power Board. In a letter to the institute, the board had explained that its offer regarding the illumination was limited to the provision of equipment. Mr. Vaile asked the approximate annual cost as it was proposed to invite the City Council, as the body controlling the Cenotaph and the Court of Honour, to share in the expenses,
