VANESSA’S HEAT IN OCEAN RACE SYDNEY, Sunday. The second heat of the Sayonara Cup race was sailed yesterday in a light north-easterly breeze, which freshened at sea. The Victorian yacht Aerospire IV. led almost throughout and finished 7min 25sec ahead of the New South Wales yacht Vanessa. However, Vanessa had a rating allowance of 9mip 44see and was declared the winner by 2min 19sec. Vanessa now has won two successive heats.
