BANK-NOTE FRAUD

PEOPLE SUBSCRIBE TO FORGERY COMPANY PROFIT-SEEKERS GULLED BERLIN, Thursday. A new style of fraud has been discovered by smart detectives. Two men who claimed to be able to forge absolutely undetectable false banknotes obtained large sums from persons eager to share in the profits. The two rascals put up an elaborate machine and proceeded apparently to print notes, which, however, were real ones previously inserted in the machine. After that they had no difficulty in procuring what money they wanted from their victims for the purpose of carrying on the work.
