*V r OTHING worked better at Epsom yesterday than the Te Aroha Cup candidate, Warspite. The Man o' War gelding was given a two-mile spin before breakfast and, well handled by Claude Fairman, he finished up a solid task in splendid style. Although Peter Pirate is the ruling favourite for ieext Saturday's race, the Mangerefcrained pacer will meet with serious opposition from Warspite.
