MANUKAU YACHT CLUB
HARBOUR RACES TOMORROW Harbour races for yachts and launches and for the Cornwell Cup class will be held tomorrow by the Manukau Yacht and Motor-Boat Club over No. 2 course. During the week-end trial races for the selection of a crew for a Cornwell Cup contest -will also take place. Following are the handicaps: Yachts. —‘Drone, sair; Daphne, 13im; Nyria, 3m; Betty, 25m; Wild Wave II:, 22m, Sea Toiler, 25Jm; Janet, 33m; Mist Maid, 39m. Launches. —Rosita, sc-r; Surprise, Dione, 4m; Rainbow, Alma, 18Jm; Regal, 22Jm; Norma, Ngaroma, 23]!;m; lolanthe, 26*10; Katui, 29m; Ramona, 355. 12ft Gin Class. —Comet, Tuatea and NorWilson, all scratch. The officers for the day will be:— Starter and judge, Mr. W. Vaughan; assistant-starters, Messrs. W. Rawlinson, A. Grupen and A. Jeffs; starter and judge for the 12ft 6in class, Mr. I. Dennis. MANUKAU CRUISING CLUB Cruising' races to Cornwallis for yachts and launches will be held tomorrow by the Nlanuk.au Cruising Club, the yachts starting at 2.30 p.m. and the launches at 2.45. The finishing time limit is; at sunset. The yacht handicaps are as follow*: Aoma, on wind scr, off wind scr; Sylvia, scr, 2m; Champagne, sm, 4m; Drone, sm, 3m; Daphne, 6m, 4m; Sea Horse, 6m, 9m; Sea Gnome, 15m, 9m; Wild Wave, 15m, 9m; Nyria, 20m, 10m; Miss Mac, 26m, 12m; Mist Maid, 50m, 30m; Shirley, 50m, 30rn.
Launches will race under sealed handicaps. A model yacht race will be held at 2 p.m. sharp.
