CHANGE IN CABINET

NEW SECRETARY FOR DOMINIONS FORECAST LONDON, Thursday. The political correspondent of the “Daily Express’ says Mr. Vernor Hartshorn, M.P., will be invited to join the Cabinet on the completion of his work on the Indian Commission. Most likely he will replace Lord Passfield, Secretary of State for the Dominions, who is anxious to devote himself to literary and other private work.

Mr. Vernon Hartshorn was Post-master-General in the last Labour Government. He is Labour member for the Ogmore Division of Glamorganshire, and is president of the South Wales Miners’ Federation.
