LAST DAYS or PRESENT | v PROGRAMME l The splendid programme of music, dancmg and pictures which has delighted the audiences at every session at the Civic Theatre this week will be presented for two more days only. There are musical selections by Fred Scholl at the Civic Grand Organ, ‘and by Ted Henkel’s Symphony Orchestra‘ of 30 players, and a colourful stage presentation entitled “La Fiesta,” with solo dances and items by the Civic‘s ballet. The film is an uproarious farcecomedy entitled “The Fall of Eve,” and concerns the experiences of a man who tried to pass off a. girl friend as his Wife. It is exceptionally amusing. Patsy Ruth Miller and Ford Sterling are the stars. l How would the idea of their daughy ‘ter’s “trial marriage” be received in a} lconservative household in a. small, oldfashioned community? This situation is depicted in “Embar- ‘ rassing Moments." Reginald Denny's most amusing comedy, which comes to the Civic Theatre on Saturday. “Embarrassing Bionie’nts" is filled with hilarious incidents. which follow one another with such rapidity that there is not a slow moment in the picture. Beautiful tltian-haired Merna Kennedy is Denny’s leading lady. ‘Otis Harlan gives his usual polished and amusing performance. Other members of the exceptionally strong cast are William Austin, Virginia Sale, Greta. Granstedt and Mary Foy. - "Embarrassing Moments" was directed by William James Craft, who has an instinctive eye for humorous situations and has utilised his talent i to the full in the direction of “Embar- ‘ rassing Moments.” The story of “Embarrassing lioments" is complete with soundland dialogue. Another outstanding programme of music. and dancing will also be pre‘sented on Saturday. '
