Today. A deluge of rain yesterday made the tracks very soft at Trentham this morning, and now the course will take u good deal of drying. The course proper and trial grass were again in use. The former provided the better going, but both were heavy. On the trial grass Semper Paratus, Disorder and Full Feather strode out well. All look in fine fettle. Malayan and Joy Bird finished together over four in 52, and Rational 11. and Habit ran an easy four in 55, and they could have done better. Air Laddies strode over six furlongs in 1.23, going fieely. Dutch Money was under a pull all the way over seven furlongs, and was anxious to go taster. Tourist strode out over four in 53, and St. -Melba took 1.85 to run live furlongs. Kali and Arikinui could have improved on 54 for half a mile, and Diana’s Lacl beat Oral over four in 53. Dolomite, going easily, ran seven in 1.42. Blue Metal and Amor were given light tasks on the course propei;. Pride was going easily alongside Swiftray over a mile in 1.55 1-5. A Good Gallop Vertigern beat Glare comfortably over a mile in 1.53 1-5. It was a good j effort on Vertigern’s part. Panther always held Star Stranger over a mile in 1.54. Star Stranger was I labouring on the soft track. Goblin Market and Jaleux strode down from the five furlongs barrier on the straight course. Concentrate and Rory Mor were not doing their best over a mile in 1.07. Cimabue sprinted home down the straight. .. , Antique headed Talisker over seven furlongs in 1.41. Gesture was pulling up at the end of a three furlongs dash ahead of Lineage in 40. _ Teri was always going better than Atholspear over a mile in 1.54, the last seven in 1.39. Zephyrus, Appeal and Valrewa were sprinted down the straight. Singleton and Prince of Orange were on terms over seven furlongs in 1.3 1 4 Cylinder and Lady Pam finished together over five furlongs on the straight course in 1.5. Lord Thomond ran down from the half-mile in 50. and Aspiring just beat Knightlike over four in 51. It was a good gallop on Aspiring’s part, for she gave Knightlike a start. Grecian and Ex Done galloped from the live on the straight course in 1.5 3-5.
Silver Paper, going smoothly, ran six in 1.21, n first-class effort. Sir Limontl, with a. big weight, finished hotter than Tenterden from the live on the straight course in 1.6£, with Appledore several lengths back. After breakfast Aston beat Gipsy Fate over live furlongs on the course proper in 1.4*. On the trial grass Lucky Light beat Latin Quarter at the end of a mile in 1.50. Masterton and High Strung galloped four in 53, and Banket did a similar journey in 52*. Push, Footpad. Zetes, Money Mint, Lady Gay and Assemble executed three-quarter pace work, and IDuellona ran d. solid six furlongs.
