BIG MAKO CAUGHT
LANDED NEAR WHANGAREI From Our Own Correspondent WHANGAREI. Tuesday. A mako shark which compraes favourably with those caught at Cape Brett and Mayor Island, was landed '• t tli© week-end by Mr. P. Gardener in the vicinity of Bream Head. The fish measured 10 feet five inches in length, and weighed 4001 b. It was landed after three-quarters of an hour’s exciting sport.
