Production from the motor-car parts and supplies industry in Canada during the year was valued at 17,007,157 dollars, according to a bulletin by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics. This was the highest value reported for the industry since the record of 22,000,040 dollars was established in 1923. Only concerns engaged chiefly in making motor-car parts or supplies have been included in this industry. The registration of passenger cars during 1928 approached the million mark. The actual total w r as 921,395, an increase over the previous year of 131,147. By provinces the 1928 registrations were as follow: —Ontario, 429,436; Quebec, 116,157; Saskatchewan, 102,839; Alberta, 78,302; British
Columbia, 70.525; Manitoba, 63,384; Nova Scotia, 30,327; New Brunswick, 25,064; Prince Edward Island, 4,952; Yukon Territory, 116.
