MODEL YACHT RACING

Again the boisterous, wet weather over the week-end had the effect of stopping model yacht racing on the Orakei Basin. It is to be hoped that on January 29 the elements will be in a more favourable mood. The open handicap, to be raced for on the above date, is creating considerable interest. Monday, January 13, marked the closing date for this event and already it is known that six entries have been received, but no doubt final figures will show 10 at least. This is a very satisfactory response, when one considers the difficult course to be sailed. The handlcapper’s estimation of the boats will be eagerly awaited.
