WAIUKU BEATS KARAKA j From Our Own Correspondent WAIUKU, Today. j A match for the Duthie Cup was played at Massey Park, Waiuku. on ! Saturday, when Waiuku, the holder, successfully withstood a challenge from the Karaka team, by 35 runs. Waiuku batted first and scored 75 runs (Howden 37, Heise 23). The challengers replied with 40 (Beechey 16). Bowling for Waiuku. Cooper was in excellent form and secured seven wickets for 20 runs, one wicket being taken with an exceptionally hot catch off his own bowling.
