DECISION TOMORROW
NAUTICAL COURT INQUIRY LOSS OF MANUKA Press Associat ion , DUNEDIN, Sunday. The decision of the Nautical Court : in regard to the wreck of the Manuka was not delivered yesterday morning as expected. Information has been received of the finding of a chart and the question whether it is the missing chart or portion of it is now being investigated. It is probable that the decision of the Court will he announced oil Tuesday morning. SALVAGE FROM WRECK TENDERS BEING RECEIVED Press Association DUNEDIN, Saturday. | Tenders for stripping the hull of : the wrecked steamer Manuka at Long j Point have been received by Messrs. i Broderick and Chalmer, of Dunedin, in accordance with instructions -received ’ from London. The acceptance of a j tender has been left in abeyance, but '• it. is expected that one will be decided upon during the coming week. It is reported that the Manuka has broken in half and that the after portion of the hull has settled down on the sea bed. It is also reported that the after holds are still Intact, colour being lent to this statement by the fact that no wreckage has been 1 washed ashore during the past few ; days.
