COLLISION WITH CAR

MOTOR-CYCLIST AND PILLIONRIDER INJURED ACCIDENT AT STANLEY STREET Serious injuries were received by a motor-cyclist, Mr. Eric Gubb, aged 18, of Tamaki Road, Papatoetoe, and a pillion-rider, Mr. Leslie Jepson, aged 19, also of Papatoetoe, as the result of their machine colliding with a motor-car at the corner of Beach Road and Stanley Street yesterday afternoon. The motor-cycle was turning into Stanley Street when it collided with the motor-car, said to be driven by Mr. Leonard Carr, of Aitken Terrace, Kingsland. Mr. *• Gubb received a fracture of the right leg, while his companion, who was thrown heavily to the ground, suffered a compound fracture of the left leg. Both men were removed to the Public Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. Their condition today is not serious.
