ARREST OF TEN MIEN
BOOKMAKING CHARGES RAID AT WHANGAREI From Our Own Correspondent WHANGAREI, Today. Premises, in which it was suspected bookmaking was being carried on, and 1 occupied by Charles Schon, bootmaker, 1 in Cameron Street, tvere raided by Detective Robertson, Senior-Sergeant j O'Grady and three constables on Sati urday afternoon. j Schon and two workmen, and seven others were arrested, and in the Police j Court later were remanded -till January i 20. Schon was admitted to bail in one j surety of £IOO, and the two workmen in C 5 each, and seven others in £3 ! each.
