THE CARE OF CANNAS

Cannas of different colours create a fine effect when massed in a large bed or border. Water will be necessary during the summer and warmer part of the year to keep them moving and flowering. As the flowers fade cut out the spent ones so they cannot set seeds, and remove the whole stem, which will not flower again, for if it is allowed to remain it will only weaken the old clump.
