WEDDING GOWN OF IVORY TULLE OVER WILD ROSE SATIN
McKINNON—ROGERS A pretty wedding was celebrated at the Epiphany Church last evening, when Airini Helena, second daughter of Mr. H. J. and the late Mrs. Rogers, of Grey Lynn, was married to ftouglas John, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. McKinnon, of Vermont Street, Ponsonby. The Rev. Mr. Coats performed the ceremony. Entering the church on the arm of her father, the bride wore a charming frock of ivory tulle, with silver embroidery, over wild rose pink satin. The fitting corsage had the waistline girdled with silver, a spray of orange blossom, and a diamente buckle being worn at one side. Her lovely veil of pale pink embroidered tulle was arranged over a mob cap of silver tissue, falling in long soft folds from a w.reath of orange blossoms. A shower bouquet of palest pink carnations and gladioli was carried. The two bridesmaids, Misses Bilian Cox and Myrtle McKinnon, were frocked in cau de nil and buttercup georgette, the full skirts, dipping to the ankles at the back, and over the corsage fell graceful bertha collars. Picture hats of lace and crinoline straw to tone with their frocks were worn, and each carried shower bou-
quets of dahlias and sweet peas, tied with ribbons of a toning shade. Attending the bridegroom were Mr. Robert Bailey and Mr. John Rogers, as best man and groomsman respectively. A reception was held later at the Penrith Tea Rooms, with an attendance of about 100 guests. The rooms had been delightfully arranged with pink and lemon-coloured cactus dahlias and rose-pink streamers, while over the bridal party was suspended 1 a large pink and silver wedding bell, j Airs.
