Behaviour in Wailii during the Christmas and New Tear holidays was very good, according to the police reports, and it was not necessary to make a single arrest. This was also the case last year. The 1930 court list was opened last .Saturday, when a first offender for drunkenness was fined ss. * * * Although there was heavy traffic on the Waihi Beach Road during the holidays there was only one accident, a motor-car going over the bank. Xo one was injured. Another accident occurred in the main street of Waihi, when a motor-car crashed into the front of a butcher’s shop. Here again no one was injured.
