TE KUITI SHOW

PREPARATIONS WELL IN HAND From Our Own Correspondent TE KUITI, Today. Preparations are well advanced for the forthcoming summer show of the King Country Central A. and P. Association, which will be held at Te Kuiti on Thursday, February 6. The schedules have now been distributed, and the total number of classes and competitions is in the vicinity of 282. Perhaps the most interesting event from a spectator’s point of view will be the exhibition of trotting which it is proposed to stage. Provided sufficient support is forthcoming, two events will be held, the distances being one mile and one and a-half miles respectively. One will be an open event and the prize for the winner will be £lO and a £1 sweepstake in each case.

In the stock section, several alterations have been made to meet the requirements of the farmers of the district. The home industries section has also been extensively revised and brought up to date, and the amateur gardener is also well catered for. Given fine weather, a successful fixture is assured.
