PRICES UNCHANGED From Our Own Correspondent. HAMILTON, Tuesday. Stock prices at the Frankton saleyards today varied only slightly from those realised before the holidays. Fat cattle and sheep were yarded in good numbers, but there were fewer store cattle. There was a medium yarding of both fat and store pigs, the former realising improved rates. The auctioneers quote as follow: Dalgety and Company:—There was a large yarding of fat cattle, including a choice line of prime bullocks. Prime bullocks were sold at up to £l3 14s; light-weight fat steers, £ll 3s to £l2 2s; choice young cows and heifers, up to £ll 2s 6d; good young cows and heifers, £9 to £lO ss; aged and inferior cows, £7 10s to £9 ss; light cows, £ 6 to £7 2s 6d. Very few store cattle were yarded. Forward conditioned cows sold at up to £ 6 10s. A pen of mixed quality yearling steers made £ 5 10s. There was a large yarding of fat sheep. Prime fat wethers sold at up to 295; extra prime fat wethers. 26s to 275; unfinished wethers, 24s to 255; fat ewes, up to ISs; forward woolly lambs, 16s 9d. Heavy baconers made £3 14s to £4 Is; medium, £3 8s to £3 12s; best porkers, £2 17s to £3 2s: light, £2 11s to £2 15s; large stores, £1 15s to £2 4s; slips, £1 8s to £1 13s; best weaners, £1 2s to £1 6s: small, 16s t-o 18s. The Farmers’ Auctioneering Company:—Heavy fat bullocks made from £l3 13s to £l4 2s; medium heavy, £l2 5s to £l3 4s; heavy fat cows, £9 15s to £lO 4s; medium fats, £8 2s 6d to £9; light cows, £7 7s to £B. Fat wethers made 26s 5d to 27s 7d; medium wethers, 37s 6d to 19s 6d; hoggets, shorn, £1 Is to £1 2s 4d: fat lambs, 21s 4d to 235; aged ewes, 10s to 16s sd. Heavy baconers made £3 14s to £4 2s; medium, £3 8s to £3 12s; light, £3 Is to £3 6s; heavy porkers, £2 14s to £2 19s: medium, £2 6s to £2 10s; slips, 33s to 355; weaners, 21s to 28s.
