LOWER CARGO CHARGES
FREIGHT TO GISBORNE Press Association GISBORNE, Today. As a result of harbour improvements, enabling steamers now to berth at the wharves, the Shipping Company announces a reduction in general cargo rates from 37s to 29s a ton. Cargo from Southern ports brought ashore by lighters last year totalled 8,000 tons.
