BREWERY ON BOARD

LINER SOLVES PROHIBITION PROBLEM SEALED INSIDE THE LIMIT NEW YORK, Tuesday. The liner George Washington, of the United States Line, solved its own experiment with prohibition by installing a fully-fledged brewery aboard. “What of it? It is within the law,” said Mr. Joseph Sheedy, president of the line, upon the arrival of the steamer tonight. When the ship is inside the 12-mile limit, the brewery is dismantled and sealed. “Outside it is going full blast, and everyone is happy,” declared Mr. Sheedy.
