THEFT CHARGE

ACCUSED SEEKS REMAND “I would like a week's remand,” said William Preston, who was charged at the Police Court this morning with theft. Accused, after pleading not guilty, was granted his remand, and bail was fixed in one surety of £25. Described as a carter, aged 44, Preston was charged with stealing an automatic drill valued at 12s 6d on December 17. and attempting to steal a kit of tools valued at £2 7s 6d, all the goods being the property of William Robert Scott.
