ROXY
“THE GIRL IN THE SHOW” Bessie Love, the charming actress who appeared with notable success in “The Broadway Melody,” has ample scope for the exercise of her varied ability in “The Girl in the Show,” the all-talking and singing show at the Roxy Theatre for two more days only. Her attractive singing voice is heard to advantage and she also appears in many skilfully-staged dance numbers. Some interesting sidelights on theatrical life are given in the picture, which deals with the experiences of a travelling musical comedy troupe. A thrilling fight to the finish with whips is a feature of “The Wagon Master,” which comes to the Roxy Theatre on Wednesday next. Ken Maynard, Universal star, and his famous horse “Tarzan” perform many thrilling stunts in this picture of life in the old West. It is his first talking western. The cast includes Edith Roberts, Frederick Dana, Tom Santschi, A 1 Ferguson and Jackie Hanlon.
