Wellington, broke the 150yds women’s New Zealand record of lmin 52sec by covering the distance in lmin 50 2-ssec. RYAN’S HALF-MILE BRIDSON’S TIME BETTER The performance of the Australian, Noel Ryan, in swimming half a mile at Feilding in llmin 32 2-6 sec is not equal to the time gained by the Aucklander, G. Brldson, who has covered the distance in llmin 21 2-6 sec. Bridson’s time has yet to receive official recognition. Ryan set out to break the former record of llmin 44 2-ssec. WATER POLO TONIGHT Water polo will be played at the Tepid Baths this evening in continuation ofg the competition of the Auckland Water Polo Control Board. The postponed game between Waitemata A and Parnell is expected to be the most Interesting match. Ponsonby A and Mount Eden are well matched and the North Shore-Grammar game will be closely fought.' The games begin at 7.15 p.m.
