WATER REMOVED AT HIKURANGI PUMPS COMPLETE WORK From, Our Own Correspondent ' WHANGAREI, Friday. The Tlikurangi Coal Company’s mine, which has been idle for many months will reopen on Monday. The min© was mad© useless somo months ago as the result of flooding, and with the exception of the bottom’ cup, has now been completely dewatered. This work has been going on apace for the past 12 months, and it is hoped to have the mine working at full strength in the near future. Coal has been obtained from the higher levels for some little time past, and has been utilised for the boilers in connection with the pumping operations.
