Mother and Infant Sons Drowned

TRAGEDY IN TARANAKI BODIES FOUND IN CREEK From Our Own Correspondent NEW PLYMOUTH, Today. The bodies of a mother and her two sons, one three years old and the other six months, were found floating in a creek near a farmhouse at Oeo, in South Taranaki, yesterday. They were the wife and children of Mr. D. Zimmerman, a share-milker, working with Mr. Charles Muggeridge. Mr. Zimmerman left the house in the morning with his brother to visit Mr. Muggeridge’s other farm. When they returned, the house was empty and the midday meal had not been prepared. They immediately began a search and presently found the bodies. The two children were discovered floating in shallow water about a chain from the house and there were signs that they had struggled for life; Mrs. Zimmerman’s body was fouhd lower down the Creek in a da pi used for storing water to drive the milking plant.
