BOXING IN U.S.A.
WIN FOR COOK NEW YORK, Wednesday. George Cook, of Australia, won a decision over Wine in a 10-round boxing contest at Canton, Ohio. Neither man showed particular ability. Cook had the advantage in the infighting, showing a fair uppercut, but he could not -withstand Wine’s rushes. Both boxers were too cautious and missed blows often. Toward the end of the bout Cook seemed to be hurt, but he kept plodding on and delivering hard, short blows.
